The playoffs schedule of the IPL 2024 has been confirmed after the game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals was abandoned due to rain.
As a result, KKR finished as the table-toppers with 20 points while RR ended at the number three with 17 points.
Sunrisers Hyderabad finished ahead of the RR despite having the same points since Pat Cummins' side got the edge due to a better net run-rate. Royal Challengers Bengaluru finished in the fourth spot after they defeated Chennai Super Kings in a virtual knockout on May 18.
KKR and SRH have two chances of qualifying for the IPL 2024 final after finishing at the top two of the points table since the loser of Qualifier 1 will take on the winner of Eliminator on May 24.

It must be noted SRH chased down 215 against Punjab Kings in the first match of the day and moved second on the points table.
In the chase, they lost Travis Head off the very first ball, but fifty from Abhishek Sharma (66) and quick runs from Rahul Tripathi (33), Heinrich Klaasen (42) and Nitish Reddy (37) meant that they reached the target easily.
